VanEss Rd., Oostburg went home met her Lord op Thursday morning, January 8, 2009 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where she had resided vanthe past month. Zij is geboren op February 9, 1934 in the Town of Holland, the dochter van the late Lewis en Bernice (Hesslink) Walvoord. Betty graduated van Oostburg High School in 1952. On December 26, 1953 she trouwde Warren Theune in Oostburg. Betty was a teacher aide vanthe Oostburg Elementary School van24 years voor her retirement in 1995. Betty was a lifetime member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg, where she was active in the choir, Ladies Trio, en the Ladies Guild. Zij was also a part of the Ladies Thursday Morning Golf League at Town en Country. Zij enjoyed singing, music, golf, flowers, sewing, card playing, watching the Green Bay Packers en traveling. Survivors include her husband, Warren; two daughters, Debra (Richard) Klompenhouwer of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Sandra (companion Linda Besser) Theune of Madison; four sons, Gary (Lori) of Cascade; William (Susan) of Oostburg, Conrad (Sandy) en Jim (Vicki) Theune, both of Gibbsville; twelve grandchildren, Dylan en Tess Klompenhouwer, Kayla Schneider, Jaclyn, Patience, en Will Theune, Stephanie, Adam, en Samantha Theune, Matthew, Elizabeth, en Jacob Theune; a sister, Ruth Ann (LeRoy) Pasket of Sheboygan; en two brothers, David (Janet) Walvoord en Jon Walvoord, both of Oostburg. Zij was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg op Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Wayne DeVrou officiating. Familieservices will precede at 10:15 in the fellowship hall. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg op Sunday, January 11, 2009 van 2-6 pm en op Monday, at church, van 9:30 am until the time of services.
