Hij started met work vanURM as their personnel director, a job he dearly loved, in the mid 1970's until his retirement in 1986. Hij was also a fund raiser vanUnited Way vanmany years en set record na record vandonations pledged. Bill was an accomplished horseman en a cowboy at heart. Hij rode until his late 70's en made an annual spring trip met his son's ranch in Wyoming met help with calving. Hij was a good hand met have at branding, too. Bill is survived by his wife, Mym in Walla Walla; a daughter, Andrea Volz of Tigard, OR; son en daughter-in-law, Dan en Debbie of Walla Walla, WA; daughter, Kim of Charlottesville, VA; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren en one great-great-grandchild.
