    Long-time Otis Orchards resident William A. "Bill" Kleinhesselink is overleden December 22, 2005 in Walla Walla na a short illness. A memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. op January 11, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Otis Orchards.
    Bill is geboren op Frenchtown, MT. June 24, 1921. Hij was adopted by Ben en Josephine Kleinhesselink of Hardin, MT a year en a half later.
    Hij grew up in Hardin en attended grade school en high school there. Hij always considered Hardin his hometown.
    Hij trouwde his high school sweetheart, Millicent "Mym" Kazanis op February 29, 1940 en began working as a guide at the Custer Battlefield en then at a grocery store in Billings, MT. A World War II veteran, he enlisted in the U.S Army en received the Asia-Pacific campaign medal. Hij was honorably discharged in 1945 en began a career in sales. His job took him Fresno, CA en then met Spokane, WA in 1968 where he en Mym lived until illness forced them met move closer met their son. Hij started met work vanURM as their personnel director, a job he dearly loved, in the mid 1970's until his retirement in 1986.
    Hij was also a fund raiser vanUnited Way vanmany years en set record na record vandonations pledged. Bill was an accomplished horseman en a cowboy at heart. Hij rode until his late 70's en made an annual spring trip met his son's ranch in Wyoming met help with calving. Hij was a good hand met have at branding, too. Bill is survived by his wife, Mym in Walla Walla; a daughter, Andrea Volz of Tigard, OR; son en daughter-in-law, Dan en Debbie of Walla Walla, WA; daughter, Kim of Charlottesville, VA; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren en one great-great-grandchild. Memorial donations met the United Way would bring a smile met his face en will be handled through the Herring-Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
